Marlene J. O'Connell (nee Farley), of O Fallon, MO, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Martin O’Connell; cherished daughter of the late William and Jeanette Farley; devoted mother of Karen (Chris) Green, Jeffrey (Marianne) O'Connell, Kelly (Robert) Riggs, and Pamela (David) Long; loving grandmother of Amanda (Carl) Nutty, Robert Murphy, Caleb Green, Megan (Chris) McLaughlin, Nicholas O'Connell, Cassidy O'Connell, Nina O'Connell, Craig O'Connell, Jason (Jess) Riggs, Adam (Amanda) Riggs, Erik (Amy) Long, Melissa (Tyler) Nelson, Matthew Long, and Patrick Long; treasured great-grandmother of Noah, Abram, LJ, Addison, Layla, Rita, Tomas, Oona, Logan, Oakley, Hudson, Mason and Aiden; dear sister of the late Norman (Betty) Farley, the late Forrest (Mary) Farley, the late William (Audrey) Farley, and the late Shirley (Gerald) Noah; precious aunt, cousin, and friend.
Marlene was a devoted member of the St. Sabina-St. Ferdinand Senior Group and a member of Assumption Catholic Church in O’Fallon, Missouri. The greatest joy in Marlene’s life was her family. She was married to her beloved husband, Martin, for 60 wonderful years. Marlene was a caring and loving mother to her children and a proud grandmother to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
