Leonard Raymond Derr, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the age of 94. Beloved husband of Margaret Ann Derr; cherished son of the late Raymond Moses and Edith Mary Derr; devoted father of Debra (Jesse) Gale, LeAnn Bartnett, and Sandra (Dr. Clayton) Cheney; loving grandfather of Melissa (Brett) Lantz, Suzan Gale, Nancy Gale, Jesse Roy Gale, III, Rebecca (Dylan) Tafoya, Chase Cheney, Kelsey (Stephen) Budge, Nathan Cheney, Andrew Cheney; treasured great-grandfather of Kimber, Colter, Tate, Kelvin, and Kyler; dear brother of Kathleen, the late Wilma, the late Lillian, the late Clifford, the late Carol, the late Doris, the late Kenneth, and the late Gerald.

Leonard loved adventure and the outdoors, enjoying boating, scuba diving, spearfishing, water skiing, and camping, as well as traveling to places like Florida and Jamaica. Above all, Leonard deeply loved his children and grandchildren and treasured the time spent with his family. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and later worked as a machinist in the aerospace industry for McDonnell Douglas/Boeing for 31 years, where he took great pride in his work. In 1960, he joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints after missionaries came to his door, beginning a lifelong devotion to his faith. He also enjoyed simple pleasures such as trips to Costco and a favorite meal of chicken and gizzards. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
