Steven Francis Odette was born on July 10, 1948 in Northfield, MN to Virgil and Delphine Odette. Steve joined the Navy on May 31, 1966 and served in Vietnam until July 1, 1969. Once released from active duty, he worked various jobs as a mechanic and retired in 2011. Once retired in Gary, SD, he did various small engine repairs, drove truck during planting and harvest seasons and generally helped out where needed. Summertime weekends were mostly spent at the camper sitting around a campfire sipping a beer.
Steve is survived by his wife Tammy, children Missy Phillips, April (Jim) Engen, Crystal (Sean) Neves, Steven Jr., step-children Matthew Sandey, Samantha LaCanne, Kelsey LaCanne, sisters Carol (Alan) Bengen, Grace Odette, Lisa (Rod) Oberg, Gayle (Fred) Durand as well as many nephews and grandchildren.
