Jack River Odette, 21, beloved son of Rob and Melanie Odette, passed away Monday, September 23, 2024.
As a student at Mountain Home High School in Idaho, he enjoyed his time in his Military Science course and had intentions of someday joining the Army. Once Jack graduated from Wicomico High School in 2023, he went to work at Food Lion where he loved his job as a stock person and his co-workers just as much. When he wasn't working, he could be found spending time with friends, whether going out to dinner or adventuring outdoors. He loved flying drones and RC Aircraft and just about anything involving aircraft, from new plane numbers, to researching historic plane crashes, and types of aircraft. Jack had quite the vinyl record collection and often listened to Simon & Garfunkel, Neutral Milk Hotel, and Rage Against the Machine just to name a few. In recent years, he enjoyed fitness and reading a good book like Moby Dick or Lord of the Rings (with a box of goldfish crackers nearby). Overall, Jack was a cherished son, brother, nephew, and grandson, and friend to many and will be missed by all who loved him.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by siblings, Chloë Raine and Rowan Crowe; maternal grandfather, Robert Simmons; paternal aunts Gail Odette Suberbielle and Jessica Odette; paternal uncle Mike Odette; his two special cats, Muffin and Periwinkle; several paternal cousins; and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his infant twin brother, Robby Odette, maternal grandmother Karen Simmons, and paternal grandparents, Joan and Gene Owens, and Al and Denise Odette.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 10am at Holloway Funeral Home, 501 Snow Hill Road. Friends are invited to visit an hour prior to the service.
Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home, P.A., 501 Snow Hill Road. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared for the family at www.hollowayfh.com.

I remember my brother introducing me to him at JoJo's back when he worked there, that was the first time I met him. He was always so kind and such a great friend, I am going to miss him forever.
