Audrene Lorraine Finley

Audrene "Midge" Lorrane Finley, 88, passed away peacefully at home in Salisbury, Maryland on October 5, 2025. Born on June 11, 1937, in Muscatine, Iowa, to Robert C. and Audrene (Tisor) Finley. Audrene lived a full life rooted in the love of her large family. Midge was a hard-working woman full of generosity and a great sense of humor. She loved puzzles, reading, movies, and sharing of her potato salad, peanut butter fudge, and meringue pies with her family and friends.
Midge retired from a long tenure working at Sunshine Laundry/Linens of the Week, in Salisbury, Maryland. She was a long-time member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She was an avid reader, known to finish several books each week, and enjoyed the quiet challenge of word search and jigsaw puzzles.
Audrene was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Audrene Finley; her brother, Robert Finley; sister, Donna Lipsett; her son, Donald Streat; granddaughter, Jennifer (Streat) Nicholson; grandsons, James George Jr., and Blake George.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Rocco Stellato (Neal Bennett), Teddy Bratten (Bill), Scott Reynolds (Sharon), Carroll Smith (John), and nephew, James George (Patti). Midge is also survived by her sisters, Rosalyn Martin, Doris Frazier, and Phyllis Beverlin; and her daughter-in-law, Edna Streat.
Audrene's legacy continues through her grandchildren: Tina Streat Graham (Scott), Dawn Streat, Jordan Nichols (Jess), Aaron Bratten, Beth Stonnell (Joe), Brandon Reynolds, Hillary Reynolds, Zachery Reynolds, Garrett George (Rachel), McKenzie George, and Austin Smith - along with several great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held on Monday, October 13 at 10:00AM at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury, with visitation from 9-10AM. Internment will follow at Wicomico Memorial Park, Salisbury, MD.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Audrene's memory to your local library, in honor of her lifelong love of reading.
