Steven J. "Moose" Oosterkamp Jr.

Steven J. "Moose" Oosterkamp, Jr., age 64, of Erie, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024. He was born in Erie on June 24, 1960, son of the late Steven J. Sr. and Joyce Urnmann Oosterkamp.
Moose worked at General Electric for over 30 years until his retirement. He was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Moose was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending his free time fishing at Lake Erie, especially at the South Pier and hunting in Spring Creek. He was a lifetime member at many local clubs where he spent time with his family and friends. Moose cherished his grandchildren, Isabella, Cheyene, Evelyn, Devin, Peyton, Amelia and Tatum, who lovingly called him "Grumpy".
Moose is survived by three sons, Steven III (Lynette), Andrew "AJ" (Brittany) and Zachary; his ex-wife and lifelong friend, Valerie; one brother, Bob Oosterkamp (Korie); two sisters, Diane Folmar and Linda Oosterkamp (Tim); sister-in-law, Kara Oosterkamp; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kris and James Oosterkamp; and godson, Corey Folmar.
Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral and Cremation Services Harborcreek, 5151 Buffalo Road (at Hannon Rd. in Harborcreek Twp.) on Sunday, August 11th, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
