Steven George Ostrom

Steven George Ostrom, aged 65, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026, in Millington, Michigan. Born on April 4, 1960, in Lapeer, Michigan, to the late Donald and Brenda (Johnson) Ostrom. Steven was a man whose life was marked by his adventurous spirit, intelligence, and courage.

Steven's early years were filled with the joy of exploration and the development of a lifelong love for the great outdoors. As he grew, so did his reputation as a Jack of all trades, a testament to his wide array of skills and his eagerness to tackle any challenge. His passion for nature led him to become an avid outdoorsman, cherishing every opportunity to hunt and fish. Favorite spots like Fish Point on the Bay, Tippy Dam, and the reservoir in Columbiaville were the backdrops for countless cherished memories.

Family was the cornerstone of Steven's life. He was a devoted father to Cristy (Melvin Nettles) Ostrom and Steven (Ashley) Ostrom. His role as a grandfather was one he embraced with all his heart, sharing his love and wisdom with his grandchildren Justin Ostrom, Damon Ostrom, Mackenzie Gurd, Steven Ostrom, and Aria Ostrom. Steven's sisters, Nora Daily and Cora Rodriguez, along with his niece and nephew, Brenda and Nathan, will remember him for his unwavering support and the joy he brought to their lives.

Steven's legacy is one of boundless love and the pursuit of life's adventures. His intelligence shone through in his problem-solving abilities, and his courage was evident in the way he lived each day to the fullest. He was a man who inspired those around him to embrace life's challenges with a positive attitude.

Preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Brenda Ostrom, and his brother Barry Ostrom, Steven's memory will be cherished and kept alive by his loving family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Cremation has taken place, a celebration of life in honor of Steven will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of Steven can be made to the American Cancer Society.
