Steve Parker died on February 4, 2024 at the age of 78. Born in Wadsworth, Ohio, he lived, worked (parks and recreation director), fly-fished and golfed in various other states (including Massachusetts, Connecticut, Utah). He stayed in touch throughout life with his Longmeadow (Massachusetts) high school classmates and his fly-fishing and golfing buddies/co-workers (Ridge Top, Medina, Ohio).
He was preceded in death by parents Ed and Ruth Parker as well as brother Michael Parker. He is survived by brother Michael's sons Ken (wife Dawn/daughter Melanie) and Christopher, sister Jill Parker, brother James Parker (wife Anna, daughter Karen, grandson Evan).
His ashes will join the fishes in his favorite spots.

I remember Steve as the starter at Rodge Top. A friend of mine was clearing off the green with a towel, fairly aggressively as if he was towel snapping the green. Steve says,"The green didn´t do anything to you." Or something to that effect. I fondly remember that and chuckle every time.
