Steven Wayne Perkins, age 61, a resident of Morton passed from this life on, December 7, 2023 at home surrounded by his family. Born on December 4, 1962, to Donald and Vernonia Reed Perkins. Hobbies of Steven was hunting, painting, and forging knifes, family was important to Steven, spending time with them brought him great joy. He had many friends and will be missed by all that knew him. Steven was a Christian by faith and was a member of New Hope Fellowship Baptist Church.
Preceded in death were both sets of grandparents, and his father, Donald Perkins. He is survived by his wife Debbie Perkins, two children, Marlaina Edwards (Justin), Phillip Perkins; two grandchildren, Addison Edwards, and Wyatt Edwards; mother, Vernonia Reed Perkins; one brother, David Perkins (Cindy).
Visitation will be 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, December 8, 2023, again on Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 1:00pm to 1:50pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS, the Funeral Service will follow at 2:00pm in the Chapel, with Bro. Billy Ray Parker Officiating. Interment will be in New Hope Fellowship Cemetery.
Serving as Pallbearers will be: Mike Allen, Phillip Perkins, LD Styron, Walter Acy, Elijah Cashion, and Dex Hunt. Honorary Pallbearers: Randy Lum, Randall Sullivan, Bubba Langford, and Josh Cashion.
