Steven Lee Pfeiffer. 72, of Browning, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at his home.
Steve was born on November 12, 1951 in Kirksville, Missouri to Harold and Mary (Pottorff) Pfeiffer. He grew up in Winigan and graduated from Green City High School. He then joined the Navy during Vietnam serving on submarines. After his service he returned to Browning where he worked many jobs over the years. He worked for REC and at Con Agra for a time. He worked as a computer tech, building and fixing computers for many people. He also built webpages and ran the Browning users group page for years. He previously had a cabinet shop, did carpentry and also had a Bobcat service.
On June 9, 1996 he married Lois Ann (Wendt) Pfeiffer and she survives of the home. Also surviving are two sisters; Linda and Mike Hepler of Browning and Ellen Hodge of Galt; children, Katie McQueen of Lee's Summitt, Angela Pfeiffer of Browning, Ginger Parsons of Browning, Joy Hatcher of Milan and Landon Young of Browning; grandchildren, Payton, Evie, Paige, and Vivian McQueen, Peyton Allen, JayCee Robinson, Shelby Parsons, Lorenda (Joe) Roberts, Craig (Stephanie) Parsons, Tyler (Alyssa) Hatcher and Koby Hatcher; great grandchildren, Kinsley, Kolt, Kaci, Emma and Tyson; a very special aunt Jo (Jolonda Tuttle) of Green City and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; and a brother-in-law, David Hodge.
Steve had many hobbies and most of which he turned into businesses. He wrote several books and short stories for the Milan Standard. Steve loved music, through singing and DJing for multiple events. He enjoyed mowing and cared for several yards around Browning. Steve will be remembered for telling his stories and picking on people. He most of all loved spending time with his family.
A Visitation for Steve will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Ruschmeier-Smith Funeral Home in Milan.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions can be made to Lois Pfeiffer.
