Steven R. Reiser, age 69, of Fortville, IN, passed peacefully on June 8, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on February 19, 1956, Steve lived a vibrant and adventurous life, defined by his passions, his unwavering spirit, and the deep love he held for his family and the Lord.
Steve was a proud dedicated employee of Hancock Regional Hospital for 39 years. He was the kind of person who never hesitated to roll up his sleeves—whether it was tackling a home remodel, fixing something broken, or lending a hand to someone in need. If it could be built, repaired, or improved, Steve was the man to do it.
Outside of work, Steve was a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures and thrilling adventures. Whether he was cruising on his motorcycle, relaxing by the beach, or spending an afternoon on the lake, Steve embraced every moment with enthusiasm and gratitude.
He was a devoted grandfather whose eyes lit up around his grandkids. Steve cherished creating memories with them, and his legacy of laughter and love will live on in their hearts.
A music lover at heart, Steve could often be found at concerts, soaking in the energy of live performances. He also enjoyed exploring local breweries, traveling to new places, and sharing a good beer and a better story with friends and family alike. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at a later date and time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Steve by donating to Greenfield Animal Management (Mail or stop by their location at 809 S State St, Greenfield, IN 46140) or Taffy’s Touch Senior Dog Rescue (https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://taffystouchrescue.com/__;!!M2D_dUfSiN4E!OHDrcOnssH1ieI-la5XstUcx902PSpGS_cp-JNrOvoGjiB8nz40f2pvSVtssJOIoPK6QeUjwF98e2HcQEg$[taffystouchrescue[.]com]).
