Steven Lee Sparks

Steven Lee Sparks, 68, of Woodburn passed away September 7, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and friends.

The Franklin, Kentucky native was born June 1, 1957 to the late Marshall Odell and Patricia Perry Sparks. He is also preceded in death by his grandson, Cohen Lee Nalley. Steven was a member of Martha's Chapel Church. He worked as a diesel mechanic at Whayne Supply and was later self-employed as S&S Farm and Truck. When not working Steven loved to read, especially history, as well as enjoying the outdoors through hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, and farming. He was always working in his shop either woodworking, painting, or doing general arts and crafts. Junking and antiquing helped grow his collection of which he didn't want to part.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Connie Overfelt Sparks; children, Stephanie Scott (Dock) of Plano, Christy Honaker (Corey) of Alvaton, Heather Nalley (Evan) of Alvaton, Daylon Renick (Hannah) of Glasgow, and Corbin Renick (Sarah) of Woodburn; grandchildren, Zach Hatfield (Rainee), Taylor Hagan (Cameron), Lauren Barry (Lane), Reed Scott, Tate Honaker, Molly Honaker, Adin Renick, Cooper Renick, Bellamy Grace Renick, Adalyn Renick, Liam Renick, and Reese Renick; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Pam Richardson; brother, Scott Sparks; and several nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Woodburn Baptist Church with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time at the Church. Burial will follow in Woodburn Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy can be made to St. Labre Indian School (www.stlabre.org) or Woodburn Cemetery.
