Steven Joseph "Pete" Stalder

Age 54, of Finleyville, tragically passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025. Pete was the beloved husband of Jennifer; cherished father of Bane and Gage; loving son of Joseph (June Kennedy) Stalder and Janice Baker; loving brother of Michele (Larry) Biletski; and uncle of Morgan Biletski.
Steve was a kind and caring man, ready to help a friend at a moment's notice. If you were lucky enough to call him a friend, you were truly blessed. He was a fierce protector of those he loved as many of us have witnessed. He was a great man who left us too soon.
There are countless people who know how skilled Steve was in all aspects of construction. Whether it was electrical work, carpentry, plumbing, concrete, welding - you name it, and Steve could do it.
In the fall, you would find Steve volunteering for the South Hill Chargers youth football team setting up and breaking down football games, welding tackling sleds, and seeding the practice field. He loved every minute helping his sons' team.
Steve's true passion was for classic cars and motorcycles. He excelled as a mechanic and fabricator. On most summer weekends, you would find him at a car or motorcycle show. He loved going to Good Guys each year, and Mineral Beach on Friday nights.
Steve enjoyed spending time at his lake house, where he would take his boys fishing from the dock or out on his boat. It was a place where he found peace, family time, and fun.
Steve was an amazing husband and father whose love, support and caring was unending. He was our everything and our lives will never be the same without him. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to the South Hill Chargers youth football organization. Family and friends are welcome on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray (724-941-3211). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. in Resurrection Parish, St. Thomas More Church (everyone please meet at church). Interment will be private.
