Steven Gregory Stein, 52, peacefully passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024, in Oklahoma City. Steve was born to Charles and Janet Stein in Oklahoma City, OK on March 11, 1972 and was a lifelong Oklahoman and particularly Sooner fan. He was a beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Partner, Dad, Saba, and Friend. Steve was known for his infectious smile, goofy personality, and his ability to give the best pep talks, lifting up those around him with his positive energy and humor. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Steve had a passion for life and cherished time spent with his family and friends. He was an avid golfer, loved traveling, and could usually be found enjoying a game of cards or sports with loved ones. Whether he was spending time with family or sharing a laugh with friends, Steve's vibrant spirit was always present. He was affectionately known by many as “Big Pig" and "The Big Jew", nicknames that reflected his larger-than-life presence and the warmth he brought to those around him.

Steve is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Madison & Jacob Mason and Molly Stein, his granddaughters, Mila and Millie, his siblings, Brad, Carl, and Mickey and his lifelong friend, Amy Jones. He will forever be remembered for the love and joy he shared with his countless family, friends, and his favorite dog Dean.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Steve’s honor on Friday, October 11 at 7:00 PM at The Greens Country Club, with social hours to follow. Please also join us on Saturday, October 12 for an OU/TX Tailgate Party at 12:30 PM at 6316 Wentworth Drive, Edmond, OK 73025, where friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate the way Steve would have wanted.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to Steve’s memory can be made through the GoFundMe link to help support his granddaughters.

Steve Stein’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know him, and his legacy of love, laughter, and family will never be forgotten.
