Steven Michael Sullivan, 68, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and will miss him always. Born on November 20, 1957, in Lancaster, California. Steven later made his home in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he built a life of family, love, and his career of being, in his own words, “the backbone of America”.
Steve was a devoted husband to his wife, Cheryl, with whom he shared 29 years of marriage until her passing in June of 2025. Their bond was one of lasting love and partnership, and we find comfort knowing they are reunited.
He was a proud and loving father to his children: Brooke, Keith, Mallory, Oskar, and Niko. He was also a loving grandfather to Kayla, Angelica, Cassandra, and Drake, along with 11 great-grandchildren. In addition, Steven opened his heart and home to two boys, Nick and Jeremy.
Steve is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, David and Cathy Sullivan. He also leaves behind many “framily” members whom he loved dearly. As well as his sisters-in-law, Debbie, Brenda, and Belinda, and many nieces and nephews. Last but not least, Steve was also survived by his furry co-pilot of 13 years, Axel.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Gene and Maggie Sullivan, two brothers-in-law, Greg Leatherwood and Raymond Snow.
After a brief separation, Steve was reunited in death with his loving wife, Cheryl Darlene Sullivan.
A celebration of life will be held on April 25, 2026. Please reach out to Mallory at (801) 674-0353 or Brooke at (530) 318-4099 for further details.
