It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Steven Uciferro on July 15, 2025, at the age of 77. He departed this world peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on September 15, 1947, in Providence, Rhode Island, Steven lived a life filled with laughter, passion, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved.

Steven dedicated a significant part of his career to Arden Engineering, where he proudly served as a senior supervisor for 45 years. His hard work and leadership made him a respected member of Local 51, and he was also the owner and operator of his beloved business, Steve’s Flowers, for over 35 years. His contributions to both the workforce and his community were immeasurable.

A man of larger-than-life personality, Steven was known for his generosity and passion. He was more than just a provider for his family; he was their ultimate protector, ensuring that they never went without anything. His family's compound in Johnston, a home steeped in 160 years of history, was not only where they built memories but also the location of his cherished greenhouse.

Steven had a fervent zest for life that was evident in his many interests and hobbies. His summers at Bonnet Shores were filled with countless celebrations—there wasn't a party he didn’t enjoy attending or hosting. He took immense joy in being an avid sports fan, supporting the NY Yankees and NY Giants with unmatched enthusiasm. His love for sports extended beyond fandom as he actively coached Johnston's little league and basketball teams, imparting his wisdom and love of the game to young athletes.

Above all, Steven was a devoted family man. He and his beloved wife, Donna (Perry) Uciferro, were inseparable since the day of their marriage, some short 55 years ago and could often be heard proclaiming her name with a pride that spoke volumes of their bond. His daughter, Tara Uciferro-Dickie, and son, Kevin Uciferro, along with their spouses William and Teri, carry forth his legacy. Grandchildren Juliet Uciferro and Joseph Dickie were the light of his life, representing the heart and soul of who he was.

Steven is survived by his loving wife, children, and grandchildren, as well as his sister, Judith Garreau (Steven), his niece Heather McKaig(Mark), and also his nieces and nephew,  who will forever cherish their moments together. He joins his beloved parents, Antonetta (Zinno) Uciferro and Carlo Uciferro, in eternal rest.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Steven during visitation held at Nardolillo Funeral Home, 1278 Park Ave, Cranston, RI 02910, on July 22, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass celebrating his life will follow at St. Rocco Church, located at 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston, RI 02919, at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private.

Steven Uciferro embodied what it meant to live life fully and generously, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who knew him. His vibrant spirit and unwavering devotion to family and community will be remembered fondly by all who were fortunate enough to share in his journey.
