Steven Welk

Steven Lynn Welk, 71, of Nuevo, California, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025. Steve was born on June 22, 1953, in Sedro-Wooley, Washington, to Mary Evelyn (Oliver) and Duane Gale Welk and was their second child and only son.
He grew up in Riverside, California and lived a simple life. For 45+ years he lived in Perris, California and enjoyed working on his property. He enjoyed alone time or when in the company of friends and family, he preferred quiet one-on-one settings. He also loved music, telling jokes, laughing, painting, helping others, and his beloved pets. He was a life-long learner and an avid reader. Our brother Steven was truly a character and will be missed dearly.
Steve is survived by his sisters Karlene Hall, of Iron Mountain, MI and Karen Collins, of Nuevo, CA, and their families, William Hall, Monique and Joseph Nelson, Brianna and John Tatum, Caleb Nelson, Danielle Hall, Angelech and Michael Joslin, Efren, Aaron, and Garrett Collins; his two stepchildren, Becky and Daniel Crevoisier, and many loving cousins.
