Steven D. Wisely, 70, of Stilwell, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025, at Baptist Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

He was born on August 1, 1954, to Harold Gene Wisely and Lona Lou Brown Wisely of Arkansas.

Steve graduated from Owasso High School in 1972 and went on to serve in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he became a long-haul truck driver, spending many years on the road before retiring quietly in Stilwell.

He was a lifelong fan of OU football and country music, and he enjoyed landscaping, driving, and spending time with his beloved dogs-Lady, Peanut, and Ellie.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lisa; his sister, Lona Jean Shannon Hodges; and many other dearly loved family members and friends. He held firmly to his faith and looked forward to being reunited with those who had gone before him.

He is survived by his children, Johnny Wisely of Lódz, Poland, and Cecilia Ross-Wisely of Sherman, Texas; and by his grandchildren, Ana Covert and Charles Braden. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, David and JoAnn Wisely of Cookson, Oklahoma; his nephew, Jeremy; nieces Erica, Stacy, Lee Ann, and Lindsey; and many cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Hart Funeral Home, 1506 N. Grand Ave, Tahlequah, Oklahoma. For more information, please contact (918) 456-8823.
