Stevie Davidson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Burnam & Son Mortuary, Inc. on Nov. 4, 2025.
Stevie Ray Davidson, affectionately known as "Slick" to his close friends and family, transitioned from this life on Monday, November 3, 2025, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital, following a two-year battle with cancer. He was born in the same hospital on February 5, 1960, to Harry Lawrence Davidson and Irene Clayton.
Stevie Ray was known throughout his community as a man with a generous heart and a spirit that could not be dimmed. Though life brought him many challenges, he met them with laughter, kindness, and an unwavering willingness to help others. He was always ready to lend a hand, whether it was offering his time, sharing what little he had, or simply bringing a smile to someone's face.
He was a familiar sight around town-riding his bicycle, greeting everyone he passed, and spreading joy wherever he went. Stevie Ray never met a stranger; he had a gift for connecting with people from all walks of life. His laughter was contagious, his sense of humor unforgettable, and his presence left an imprint on everyone who knew him.
To cherish his loving memory, Stevie Ray leaves behind his brothers: Larry (Mildred) Davidson, Harold Davidson, and Fredrick Davidson; his sisters: Olene Davidson, Jolene (Earl) Davidson, Silva Davidson, and Joyce Davidson; nephews: Andrew Davidson and Aaron Thompson; nieces: Monica Yanez, Danielle (Markcus) Lewis, and Lydia Barnes; great-nephews: Shemari Lewis, Seth Pulley, and Syler Pulley; and great-nieces: Lashia Pulley, Marli Hayden, Trinity Pulley, and Kymori Lewis.
He is also survived by his uncles: Wayne Clayton, Clifton Clayton Sr., Jimmy (Wanda) Clayton, and Anthony (Jennifer) Clayton Sr.; his aunts: Nadine Hibbitt, Vernie Lee (David) Hayden, Stella Clayton, and Betty (Jason) Sydnor; along with a host of cousins, friends, and loved ones who will forever hold his memory close.
Stevie Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Lawrence Davidson and Irene Clayton; his paternal grandparents, Harry and Bessie Davidson; maternal grandparents, Alonzo Clayton Sr. and Jessie Myrtle Clayton; brother, Lawrence Wayne Davidson; and nephew, Daron Ray Thompson.
Those who knew Stevie Ray will remember him not for his struggles, but for his spirit - one that found joy in the simple things, laughter in hard times, and love in every encounter. His bicycle rides, his laughter, and his giving heart will remain a lasting reminder that life is best measured by how much of ourselves we give to others.
"To know him was to love him, and to be loved by him was a blessing."
Sincerely,
-Your friends at Burnam and Son Mortuary
