John M. Davidson

Age 93 passed away Friday, February 27, 2026 at the Corning Center following a long and full life. Born on February 19, 1933 in Elmira, John was the son of Ralph M. and Mildred E. Griffin Davidson. He was married to Shirley Breese Davidson for many years until her passing in 1999. John served his country in the U.S. National Guard. He was employed by the Town of Southport for over 30 years working in the highway dept. John loved to tinker on engines and was drawn to tractors, cars and trucks. Surviving is his loving family, daughter, Cindy (Jamie) Leonard, and granddaughter, Emily Leonard. In addition to his parents and wife, John was predeceased by a daughter, Linda S. Davidson in 2011. The family will receive friends at the Webb Mills United Methodist Church, 1623 Penn. Ave. Pine City, NY 14871 on Saturday, March 7, 2026 between the hours of 10 a.m.-11a.m. A celebration of his life will follow at 11a.m. John was laid to rest in the church cemetery with his beloved wife and daughter. The family would like to thank the Corning Center for the wonderful care they gave John.
