Richard H. Johnston Jr.

Gillett, PA

Age 60, passed away at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Born on December 14,1965 in Troy, PA and was the son of Richard H. Johnston Sr. and Bernice (McKay) Winnie. Richard was a graduate of Troy Area High School, Class of 1984 and received his Bachelor's Degree from CCBI in Syracuse, NY. Richard was self-employed and owned Nationwide Uniform Express which he started in New York City and relocated back to Gillett, PA several years later. He loved to travel to many different countries around the world, especially London and Brazil. Richard lived in Brazil for a couple years and made many friends while he was there. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family as well as cooking and enjoying some fine wine. Richard is survived by his mother, Bernice; sisters, Vicki (Tim) Warren, Donna (Karl) Wilkins, Dale (Mike) Dalton; brother Brett (Georgia) Johnston and several nieces and nephews which he loved to be called "GUB" (Great Uncle Butch) from them. Richard also had many great friends, Maureen, Jen and Brian, Gina and Greg, and the son he never had, Anthony Zarrillo. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Richard H. Johnston Sr.; nephew, Micheal Dalton, beloved friend, Judas Alvim; and step-father, Charles Winnie. Memorial contributions can be made in Richard's memory to Kids Can't Fight Cancer Alone. Keeping with Richards wishes there will be no public service at this time.
