Mr. Stevie Tyrone Phelps Jr. was born on February 3, 1973 in Jacksonville, Florida, to Cynthia Yvonne Phelps and the late Stevie Tyrone Phelps Sr. Stevie attended Duval County Public Schools and graduated from Paxon High School in 1991. He was a dedicated employee of Phoenix Products, working as a machinist for many years. Stevie was also an active member of the First Deliverance Church of Jacksonville.

Stevie was the first child born to Cynthia Y. Phelps and Stevie T Phelps, at Jacksonville Naval Hospital. He was a quiet, sweet and humble child, who never wanted attention to himself. Stevie was artistic, a good student, an athlete and participated in ROTC. He spent a lot of time with his grandfather whom he lovingly called "Paw Paw" taking on his calm, quiet, gentle spirit. Stevie attended Cumberland College in Kentucky and soon after learning he was a father to be, he joined the United States Marine Corps where he served his country for 2 1/2 years. Stevie T. as he was affectionately called by his mom, was an avid fan of the Jacksonville Jaguars, especially player #1 Etienne Jr, and a loyal fan of the Florida gators.

Stevie was preceded in death by his first wife & mother of his children, Angelique Phelps, his Father, Stevie Tyrone Phelps Sr., his "Paw Paw", Elder Ernest Vining, his "Ace Boon Coon" (Big E) Everette Douglas, his Uncle Fred Williams & Aunt Sharon Jenkins Williams.

Stevie leaves to cherish his memory, his spouse Malissa Jones Phelps, his children, Stephanie Phelps, Stevie Tyrone Phelps III, Quashawn Carmichael and Asialyn Carmichael; his grandchildren, Gabrielle Janae Phelps, Messiah Cory Phelps, Amiyah Carmichael, Sophiia Webster & Mi'kara Ferell; his devoted mother Cynthia Phelps, his loving sister, LaRose McLoyd; Grandmother, Cleo Jenkins Vining; Aunts, Gwendolyn Jenkins, Yvette Jefferson (Garey), Miriam Jenkins; Uncles, Everett Jenkins, Elijah Jenkins Jr.(Gina), Ezra Jenkins (Vanessa ); Sister-in-laws, Celestine Jones, Amy Jones, Tabitha Jones; Brother-in-law, Ralph Jones. Nephew Jordan Jenkins; Special Cousins, Keith Palmer, Lance Palmer, Roy Thomas Jr., Erick Thomas, and Elliott Thomas. A long-time friend Michael White, a host of other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
