Stuart Byron Evans

Stuart Byron Evans, 60, passed away June 25, 2025 in Austin, MN, surrounded by care and love. Born on November 24, 1964 to Russell and Mayme Evans, Stuart was the much-anticipated brother to three older sisters. A member of Fountain Ave. United Methodist Church, a 1982 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School, Stuart attended Centre, returned to Paducah, then to Louisville, working various jobs along the way before moving to Seattle in 1994, where he lived, developed lifelong friendships, and worked the majority of his adult life.

From childhood, Stuart viewed the world through an ever curious, artistic lens. His eye for art, fashion, architecture, nature, and love of music kept him centered in the Seattle scene. He worked for Amazon in its beginnings, then OneReel, a nonprofit arts foundation, and finally, Corbis, a visual arts licensing company as a Search Metadata Specialist. Stuart returned to Kentucky in the spring of 2017, reconnecting with family and friends, a daily fixture walking and exploring in his old neighborhood. In December 2023, Stuart entered a memory care facility in Austin, Mn. To the very end, Stuart kept his unique laugh, sense of humor, and his heartfelt hugs, He will be missed by all who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Mayme Evans (Paducah, Ky) and his nephew, Adam Finseth (Savage, Mn)

Stuart is survived by his sisters Brenda Finseth (Brad), Beth Richardson (Steve), and Susan Tisthammer; Nieces and nephews Scott Richardson (Kat), Mark Richardson (Sarah), Amber Smith (Austin), Tara Finseth, Kelsey and Philip Tisthammer; great-nieces and nephews Liam and Nora Finseth, Leon and Jude Smith, Owen, Ella, and Elizabeth Richardson.
