Stuart A. McGeary

WATERFORD Stuart A. McGeary, 86, of Saratoga Ave. passed away Tuesday February 10, 2026 at St. Peter's Hospital with his family at his side.

Stu had been in the clock repair field for 50 years beginning his career at Mason & Sullivan Clock Shop in Albany and then establishing his own business, Waterford Clock Shop in 1985. Stu also was a photographer and did his own developing in his studio. He took high school yearbook photos as well as photos of newsworthy items. He was a veteran of the National Guard and had been a Boy Scout Leader when his sons were younger. In his free time, he enjoyed camping and traveling across the country.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years Patricia Moore McGeary, his children Darren McGeary of New Baltimore, Deane McGeary (Amy) of Nags Head, NC, Laurie Marble (Wayne) of Waterford, Robert Barnes (Sheree) of St. George, Utah, William Barnes of Schenectady and the late Deborah McGeary and Jeffrey Barnes. He is the brother of the late Rodney and Henry McGeary, Mary Lou Roy, Alice Wheeler and Barbara Szlachetka. He is the proud grandfather of Kyla, Erin and Sean McGeary, Kati Marble Koblensky (Michael), Andrew Marble (Stacy), Shannon Barnes, Brooke Herrud and Brittany Halliday and great grandfather of Lyla Wiley, Brandon and Madison Marble, Kennedy and Gage Herrud and Hayden Haliday.

Funeral services will be Monday at 5 pm at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St., (Rte. 32), Waterford.

Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 3-5 pm.
