Stuart Wolber, 76, of Pingree Grove, IL, was called home to heaven on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Journey Care Barrington. He worked for Thyssen Krupp (now Swiss Steel) as a purchasing agent for decades.
Stuart was born on January 13, 1949, in Sterling, IL the son of Donald and Gladys (Gottel) Wolber. He married Suzanne Krull on May 28, 1983, in Sterling, IL, and they remained married for 42 years. Stuart enjoyed fishing the Minocqua Chain, traveling to small towns, and visiting his brothers. Stuart was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and brother. His wit, wisdom, and social skills made him a friend to all.
Stuart is survived by his wife, Suzanne Wolber; son, Brandon (Dawn) Wolber; brothers, Scott (Eileen) Wolber, Don (Karon) Wolber; and grandchildren, Charlotte and Cooper.
Stuart was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 am Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon, with Pastor Jack M. Briggs, officiating. Private Family Burial will take place Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
A memorial has been established.
Arrangements were completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon.
