Sue Biscan Obituary

Sue Biscan
Born: July 23, 1934
Died: March 24, 2024 in Golden, CO
Sue Biscan, formerly of DeKalb, passed away on March 24, 2024 at her home in Golden, Colorado.
Sue was born in Burlington, Iowa and raised in Nauvoo, Illinois. She was the daughter of R.C. and Nora Yager. She loved horses and the outdoors and was a true mid-western girl at heart.
She graduated from Webster College in Webster Groves, Missouri and shortly afterward met Andy, who would become her partner in life. They had been married for 65 years.
Sue and Andy built their life in DeKalb, Illinois where they raised their three children. In 2000 they moved to Golden, Colorado to be closer to their eldest son. Sue loved Colorado and the mountains and the sunshine. She enjoyed hiking and walking, especially along her beloved Clear Creek.
Sue was a woman of deep faith and deep love. She was committed to her family and her community. Sue's community involvement was extensive and ongoing. School and children's activities were the main focus in her younger years. In later years she became more heavily involved in church activities.
She was a loving, constant support to her husband. She was a constant teacher to her children and their fierce advocate. She was a loving Nana to her five grandchildren. She was a loyal and supportive friend. Sue was known for reaching out to others. Her warm, welcoming smile was a gift to all who knew her.
Sue is survived by her husband Andrew, children Matt, Mark and Mary Kay, their spouses Sarah, Sara and Jim, grandchildren Kate, Jacob, Lily, Luke, and Helen, and by her brother Dick. In passing to the next life Sue joins her parents and her sister Sara and brother Mike.
Sue's family would like to express their gratitude to the good people at Denver Hospice and Golden Pond Assisted Living for their care and support.
Funeral services for Sue will be held on Tuesday April 9th, 2024. Details can be found here: https://obits.cfcscolorado.org/obituary/sue-biscan

Dear Biscan Family, I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Biscan passing. I remember her as always being cheerful on our carpool rides to school and her silly version of "We Three Kings"! I hope your memories of her help at this difficult time.
