Sue Robbins Carter, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
Born in Crockett Co., TN, to the late James Calvin and Maggie Jane Robbins, Sue was known for her deep faith, unwavering independence, and creative spirit. A devoted follower of Christ, Sue found great joy in sharing the gospel with everyone she met. Her words and actions reflected her love for God and her desire for others to have a personal relationship with Him. Her final words were, "I love Jesus with all my heart and with all my soul".
She faced every challenge with a can-do attitude and inspired those around her to do the same. She lived life full of strength and grace. Sue had an insatiable love for flowers and thoroughly enjoyed working in her beautiful yard where she had personally planted every flower and every tree. Her creativity will be remembered fondly by those who loved her.
One of her greatest joys was enjoying time with her family. It was such a blessing to her that the Victory family and the Carter family blended so seamlessly into one family following Renee and Mike's marriage in 1989. Holidays were never divided; instead, they were spent together, filled with laughter, love, and the unity that will always be cherished.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 49 years, James "Jim" Carter and her brother, James Edward Robbins.
Sue is survived by her daughter, Renee Carter Victory (Mike); grandchildren, Kristen Victory Wade (Stephen) and Josh Victory; great-grandchildren, William Patrick Wade and Olivia Grace Wade; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
The visitation for Sue Carter will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The funeral service will take place on Monday, November 17, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM, taking place in the Fireside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. The graveside service will take place following services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Gideons or Turning Point USA.
