Sue Ann Cooley
August 6, 1964 – December 2, 2023
Sue Ann Cooley, 59, of Sweet Home passed away December 2, 2023. She was born on August 6, 1964 to Bernie James and Norma Sue (Stock) Warren. She was born in Fort Ord, California, but later moved to Newberg. She then moved to Sweet Home where she raised her children and became "Mama Sue" to a good portion of the town.
Sue worked hard her entire life doing things like mill work, White's Electronics, the Sweet Home fish hatchery as a fin clipper. She finished her work career as an in-home care worker even after being diagnosed with cancer. She worked until her body no longer let her.
Being outdoors was her favorite. She loved just sitting in the back yard or camping, fishing, hunting or just simply being around her family and extended family known as "Sue's Crew". She was definitely in her element while doing all of those things. Sue had a way of drawing people in and making such meaningful relationships with them. Such a beautiful soul inside and out. She is missed so much but is now pain free. Finally.
She is survived by her sons: Joshua Warren, Joshua Cooley, daughters: Mary Lazard and Tara Cooley, loving brother Jimmy Warren, grandsons: Sabastien Lazard, Jacob Cooley, granddaughters: Jayden Cooley and A'mya Cooley. Preceded in death by her sweet baby brother Eric, mother Norma Warren and father Bernie Warren.
Celebration of life will be announced soon. Donations to help cover remaining funeral expenses can be made by calling Sweet Home Funeral Chapel 541-367-2891. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements www.sweethomefuneral.com.
