Sue R. Douglass, age 90 of Hueytown, passed away November 9, 2025 at her residence. Sue was one of eight children born to the late WC & Pauline Thomas Reynolds. Born in Dothan, Sue lived her early years in the small community of Wicksburg. She later met and married her beloved husband, Bernard A. Douglass, Jr. and together they made their home in Hueytown. Mrs. Douglass worked as a Registered Nurse and was a member of First Methodist Church of Hueytown.
Preceding her in death was her husband, her parents and her three brothers and four sisters. Survivors include her children, Steve Douglass (Gala), Allen Douglass (Emily), Lyn Teague (Jeff) and Stephanie Robertson; grandchildren, Michelle Deavers (Marty), Leslie Burns (Greg), Chris Teague, Kevin Douglass (Kristin), Catherine Crawford (Nick), Alex Waldrop and Traci McGill (Andrew); 17 great grandchildren and a host pf nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 14, 2025 beginning at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home with interment to follow in Forest Grove Memorial Gardens. Bro. John Verciglio and Bro. John Simmons officiating services. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made o First Methodist Church of Hueytown.
