Mrs. Sue Martin Edmonds, 77, of Madison passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024 at hospice in Burlington. She was born in Guilford County to the late Charles Ritchey and Lena Martin on January 8, 1947.
Sue enjoyed her career with the City of Greensboro working at the parking deck on Davie Street. After she retired, she was able to enjoy being with all of her grandchildren. Sue loved taking them to the movies and out to eat. She was a faithful member at First Assembly of God in Reidsville, NC.
Sue Edmonds is preceded in death by her husband Joe Edmonds, and her parents; Lena Dixon and Charles Ritchey; Survived by her daughter, Tammy Oxford and husband Bill; daughter, Debbie Wyrick and husband Roger; son, Robbie Robinson and wife Sonia; son, Ronald Robinson and wife Penny, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and numerous extended family members and friends. A special thanks to her granddaughter Christy Carroll and husband Bill for taking care of her for 3 years before moving to an assisted living. Also, the family would like to give a special thank you to the wonderful Hospice staff for their compassionate care of Sue Edmonds during her final days.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Carl Robinson Jr. officiating. Committal will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:45 AM- 12:45 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to Hospice of Burlington, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC, 27215.
