Debra "Debbie" Marie Smith Robinson, 45, of Burlington, North Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 23, 2026.

Debbie was born in Reading, Pennsylvania, to Dennis and Beverly (Davis) Smith, Temple. She graduated from Oley Valley High School in 1998; and Millersville University in 2002. She was a woman of deep faith, strong character, and boundless love. Debbie was a proud graduate of Averett University, where she earned her master's degree. She devoted her career to education as a high school teacher, teaching history, social studies, and criminology, at Virginia Virtual Academy. Teaching was not just her profession-it was her passion. She absolutely loved her students and took great joy in guiding them, encouraging curiosity, and helping them see their own potential. A devout and actively faithful Lutheran, Debbie lived her beliefs daily. She enjoyed playing music and sang in the choir. Her faith shaped the way she treated others-with compassion, humility, and unwavering love. She loved growing plants and tending to her flower garden, cooking and trying new recipes, antique shopping, and traveling to the mountains. She had a deep appreciation for history, art, and learning. She enjoyed sitting in her rocking chair with a cup of coffee, watching the birds she and her husband fed together. Debbie was simply herself-loving, kind, genuine, and hardworking. There was truly no one who met her who didn't love her; she had a rare gift for making everyone feel seen, valued, and important. Debbie will be remembered for her generous heart, her devotion to her faith and family, her love of teaching, and the warmth she brought into every life she touched.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving husband, Michael Robinson Jr.; her brother, Matthew Smith, husband of Amanda; her niece, Addison; and her mother-in-law, Janice Robinson.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport, PA 19533. Inurnment will follow in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Twp.
