Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 PM, Saturday, August 02, 2025 at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Sue Kidder, 78, who passed away on July 29, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family.

A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge on Saturday from 8:30 AM to 1:20 pm.

A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 AM on Saturday.

Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the funeral service. Readers will be Sophia Thibodeaux and Heather Dupuis.

Sue was born on July 13, 1947 in Breaux Bridge. Sue was known for her sharp eye for fashion and her distinctive style, with a particular flair for cheetah print that became a hallmark of her wardrobe. She found great pleasure in shopping, often embarking on spirited outings to find the perfect purse to complement her outfits. Every purchase was imbued with her joyful spirit and unique taste, reflecting a life lived with enthusiasm and a passion for the finer things.

Beyond her love for fashion, Sue had a zest for life that extended to dining experiences, relishing every moment spent eating out with family and friends. Whether it was her favorite local restaurant or a new culinary adventure, she embraced the opportunity to gather around tables filled with good food and laughter.

Sue was an ardent sports enthusiast, proudly supporting her beloved New Orleans Saints and cheering enthusiastically for the Cecilia Bulldogs.

At the center of her world was her family, and nothing filled Sue with more joy than being a grandmother, particularly to her great-grandchild, Jett. The light of her eyes, Jett represented not just a new generation but also the continuation of her legacy. Sue's love was abundant, as she embraced each moment with her family, crafting memories that would last a lifetime.

Sue was also a devoted dog lover, finding companionship in her furry friends, Paco and Marco. These two pups held a special place in her heart, reflecting her nurturing nature and her capacity to love unconditionally.

She is survived by her spouse, Bobby Lee John Kidder; daughter, Leslie Kidder; son, Lonny Kidder (Aimee); Grandchildren, Lindsay Thibodeaux (Brodie), Hanna Escoyne (Marilyn), Makayla O-Quin (Tim), Mackenzie Kidder (Chayse) and Magnolia Carrier; great-grandchildren, Sophia Thibodeaux, Jett Thibodeaux and Thomas O-Quin.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ota Angelle Guidry; Siblings, Myrna Burley and Ivy Kidder.

Pallbearers will be Lonny Kidder, Shane Burley, Brodie Thibodeaux, Jason Castille, Hanna Escoyne and Mackenzie Kidder.
