Surrounded with prayers from a loving family and friends, Sue made her transition at 3 a.m., Saturday, February 19, 2022, Leaving cancer behind. Funeral services for Sue Marie Knoll, 60, will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, IA. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., prior to service. Cremation will follow services. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Linn Grove Cemetery, Norwalk.
Sue was born to Paul and Phyllis Johansen on September 23, 1961and dedicated at the Freeport Church of the Brethren. She started school in Pearl City, IL, and in 1972 moved to Johnston. In 1976 the family moved to Truro, where she started High School at I-35. She loved music and was in chorus and show choir. She sewed and showed steers at the Madison County Fair. She also participated in track. She graduated from I-35 High School in 1980 and graduated from Southwestern Community College in 1982. She worked for several financial industries over the years. Sue loved the Iowa State Fair, especially camping for the last 17 years.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce; sons, Chad and Drew Rosander; grandchildren, Weston, Emberlynn and Macie Rosander; parents, Paul and Phyllis Johansen; brother, Curt (Kathi) Johansen; and the favorite one, Bear.
