Sue Lilley died Friday, Dec. 26, after a rapid decline from a blood infection. She was 78.
She joins her late husbands John Danielson, Eugene Johnson, Gary Woodson, and son James Danielson. She leaves behind her son Ryne Danielson, daughter-in-law Alana McMichael; son James Johnson: and her husband Frank Lilley and their beloved pets.Frank was with her in the end and we can not express enough gratitude for how he loved and cared for her.
Sue was a sensitive soul who cared deeply for everyone around her, including every animal she came across. She shared all the small joys around her on her daily calls to her son Ryne and celebrated her family often by liking the last 20 pictures they shared in rapid succession. She was too gentle and kind for this world, and we take solace that she is surrounded by love and comfort in the next. There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2026 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory, 994 Hendersonville Hwy, Pisgah Forest, NC 28768. Anyone is welcome to come.
Sue loved animals, so in lieu of flowers, please donate to Almost Home Dog Rescue https://www.almosthomedogrescuenc.com/donate.html
