Sue Pridemore

Loretta Sue Pridemore, 83, of Flatwoods, Kentucky passed away Friday, January 30, 2026, at her home.

Sue was born on November 20, 1942, in Logan, West Virginia to the late Okey Toppins and Lillian Elizabeth Hatfield Toppins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Russell Dean Pridemore, two brothers, Anthony "Gee Gee" Toppins, and Billy Toppins, three sisters, Patricia Runyon, Joyce Adkins, and Myrna George, one precious grandson Cody Grubb and two sons-in-law, Rick Jones and Rick Grubb.

She is survived by one son, Michael Pridemore and his wife Doretha, of Ashland, Kentucky, two daughters, Connie Jones of Flatwoods, and Karen Grubb of Wurtland, Kentucky, four grandchildren, Richard Jones, Jason Pridemore, Matthew Pridemore, and Cory Grubb, six great-grandchildren, Austin, Dylan, Tanner, Grady, Keely and Rhett, a bonus daughter, Terri Schwartz, a bonus grandson, Chaz Wireman, and a host of other family members, and friends who will sadly miss her.

Sue's greatest joy in life was her family. Some of the most special moments were the ones spent gathered around her table, where meals turned into long conversations, laughter filled the room, and everyone felt right at home. Being together wasn't just something she enjoyed, it was something she made a priority. Her home was a place where memories were made often and love was always present.

She had a deep love for music and could often be found singing or playing the piano, filling the house with songs that became part of everyday life. Sue also loved to travel, and every trip she took was an adventure full of stories, laughter, and unforgettable moments. No matter where she was, at home or on the road, she had a way of making life feel joyful and meaningful for everyone around her.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Carman Funeral Home, with Jason Pridemore, and Butch Crum officiating. Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Richard Jones, Jason Pridemore, Matthew Pridemore, Cory Grubb, Austin Jones, Dylan Jones and Tanner Jones.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Carman Funeral Home.
