MOULTRIE, GA – Sue Allegood Walker, 73, of Moultrie, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 20, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 24, 2024, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Brother Tom Bishop officiating and assisted by Pastor Charles Lasseter. Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Casketbearers will be Joey Tomlinson, Stacey “Bubba” McRae, Stacey Croy, Danny Welch, Jacob Crosby, and William “Bill” Shearer.
Born October 17, 1950, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Herman Jefferson Allegood and Agnes May Allegood. Mrs. Sue retired from Wilson World/ Vacation Rentals and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was a wonderful mother, and nanny who loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Sue enjoyed baking, going fishing, sewing and her favorite shows to watch, were Law and Order and CSI.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Leslie Diane Eldridge; granddaughter, Toi Lettie Allen; great-grandson, Clayton Daughtry.
Survivors include her children, Stephanie Eldridge Allen, Amanda Eldridge Hamilton and husband Charlie, Tammy Eldridge Kilgore and special friend Becky Kilgore, Aaron Walker, Joseph Walker, and Keith Walker; grandchildren, Brandon Eldridge, Ryan Stripling, Dustin Allen, Kristian Thornton, Josie Flinchum, Aspen Hamilton, Ashlyn Hamilton, Tanner Hamilton, Mathew Walker, Franklin Walker and Georgia Walker; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Ronnie Allegood, Jeff Allegood, Linda Lasseter, Carol McRae and life-long friend, Ray Eldridge; several other extended family members and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
