Summer Nicole Greene, 26, of Gates, NC, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10, 2025, at the ECU Health Medical Center, Greenville, NC.
A native of Gates, NC, Summer was born on May 16, 1998 and was the daughter of Orson Wayne Greene, Jr. and Susan Ellis Fritzinger. Summer received Jesus into her life at an early age. She was a 2017 graduate of Gates County High School. Summer loved being outdoors enjoying her flower gardens, fishing, and four wheeling among other things. She was definitely not a morning person and was the one that everyone was always waiting on! Summer loved walking into her grandmother's house with the first question on her mind, “What do you have to eat?” She loved her precious furbabies, Violet, her dog and BooBoo, her cat. Summer had a big heart with a big smile. She was very much a Daddy’s girl where she loved her “Diddy” very much! Summer loved her family and friends deeply and will be missed by all that knew her.
Survivors include her daughter, Autumn Rain Greene; father, Orson Wayne Greene, Jr. and fiance, Tawnya Grant; mother, Susan Ellis Fritzinger; maternal grandparents, Allen and Patricia Ellis; paternal grandfather, Orson Wayne Greene, Sr.; sister, Samantha King; brothers, Phillip Greene and wife, Lexi, and Lance Greene and wife, Tori; and several nieces and nephews.
