Susan (Susie) Amirault of Saugus,
Born December 21, 1964, passed on January 20, 2025, after a period of declining health.
Susan was the daughter of the late Jean Henry and Mary M. Amirault.
Born and raised in Lynn, she later moved to Saugus and made her home with her sister Kathryn Landry, brother-in-law Robert (Bob) Landry Jr. and niece Sabrina. They became her devoted caregivers and gave her a wonderful life and loving home for over 25 years. She could not have been in better hands. They say it takes a village to raise a child and Susan had a village. In addition to her parents and siblings her brother and sister in-laws and many nieces and nephews all welcomed her into their homes to look after her after school and work programs.
Most recently she resided at the CHS Group home in Wakefield, MA.
Susie was one of God's special children whose challenges and demeanor enriched the lives of her family and friends. She was funny, happy and sweet but could be sassy. especially during verbal exchanges with her brother-in-law Bobby who she called Cowboy.
She is survived by her sisters Kathyrn Landry (Robert) of Saugus, Deborah Landry (Raymond) of Ossipee NH, Donna Rogers, Dover, NH. and Denise Balser (Stu) of Salisbury MA.
Also surviving her are her brothers John Amirault and James Amirault (Linda) of Saugus, Joe (Danielle) of Lowell, Martin (Jeanne) of Salisbury, Paul (aka Mickey) (Nancy) and Michael all of Lynn MA.
In Addition to her parents and grandparents she was predeceased by her brothers Patrick and Daniel Amirault and sister Sharon(Sherry) Baratz.
She is also survived by 21 nieces and nephews and many cousins and her uncles George and Wayne Amirault.
Susan loved her music and was a huge fan of John Denver, Olivia Newton John and Peter, Paul and Mary whom she met backstage several times and they autographed her guitar. Her favorite movie was The Wizard of Oz which she would watch every day if allowed to.
Susan graduated from the Life Skills Program for young adults with special needs at Classical High School in Lynn and was a former client of Bridgewell and North Shore ARC.
The family wishes to acknowledge all the wonderful caregivers and teachers she had over the years attending school, work and daycare programs. We also wish to thank all of the caring Doctors, Nurses, NP and Advocates at both the Melrose Wakefield and Salem Hospitals.
Susan's visiting hours will be held on Saturday. January 25, 2025, from 11AM-3PM in the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt 129), Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
