Susan Anderson Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 7, 2025.
Susan Diane Anderson was born to Richard Noyes and Darlene Robbins on May 31, 1952, in Los Angeles, CA. The second of five children, Sue was loved dearly by her parents and siblings. At an early age, she showed an aptitude for writing, a gift that she shared selflessly with others throughout her life. Sue was a published author of books, short stories, and poetry. Her unique writing style captured her strength of spirit, love for the gospel, and sense of humor. Additionally, Sue often wrote individualized poems for people in their times of need.

Sue graduated with honors from University of Utah where she met and married the love of her life, David Anderson, on December 16, 1972. Sue and Dave moved to Chicago, Il in 1973, then to Los Angeles, CA in 1975, and finally relocated to Saratoga, CA in 1991 where she lived the rest of her life. Sue and Dave had four children whom she loved deeply. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who put the needs of others before her own. Her unconditional love for her family will be felt for generations as her children and grandchildren strive to emulate her.

Sue was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her faith in Jesus Christ and the eternal nature of the family are the foundation upon which she built her life. She served faithfully in a variety of callings and used her gift of writing to entertain and uplift.

On September 29th, 2025, Sue died in her home from complications of pancreatic cancer, surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents Richard Noyes and Darlene and Dick Robbins, and her son Todd Anderson. She is survived by her husband David Anderson, her children Matthew Anderson, Karin Valdez (Bobby), and Ryan Anderson, and her siblings Nancy Cathey (Charles), Nikki Blake (Perry), Jayne Hofhine, and Richard Noyes (Stacy). She will be greatly missed.
