Susan Carole Baker

Susan Baker, age 78, originally of Wyckoff and a lifetime New Jersey resident, died peacefully September 10, 2024 at Holland Christian Home in North Haledon, New Jersey. She is survived by her husband and veteran, Abraham "Peter"; daughter Gail and son-in-law, Dan; daughter Tammy and her husband, son-in-law, Keith; grandson Alex and his wife Alicia and their daughter, Sue's great-granddaughter, Anastasia; granddaughter Alyssa and her husband Kyle; sister, Marsha; sister-in-law, Carol; as well as many other extended family members. Susan was predeceased by her parents, Edna and Albert; and the eldest of her three children, Douglas and his wife Denise.
Susan was a beloved daughter, sister, devoted wife, loving companion, loved and admired mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend to so many. All who knew her, loved her. She loved her family and friends and lived a joyful, giving, and fulfilled life. She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends too. She gave her time quickly and easily to help her husband and children in every way possible through every stage of life. Susan never left the house without her lipstick on and set an example to all who loved her that it was important to take pride in yourself and to present yourself appropriately in all ways; such a classy woman and incredible role-model; beautiful inside and out.
Susan was very successful and respected for her work managing dental offices for most of her career life. Thanks to this, other work, and time spent as a volunteer during retirement, she touched countless lives with her kindness and was always recognized and looked after anywhere she went.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial service with burial immediately following at The Wyckoff Reformed Church, 580 Wyckoff Ave, Wyckoff, NJ 07481 www.wyckoffreformed.org on Monday, September 16, 2024.
