Susan Fern Black

Susan Fern Black, 78, of Buna, died Friday, October 10, 2025. She was born on April 21, 1947, in Erie Pennsylvania, to Marion Fern Pearson Parker and Galdwin "Bud" Parker.

Survivors include her loving husband, Bill Black; children, Kenneth Edward Black of Evadale; Kathryn Black McClelland and her husband, Scott, of Six Mile, South Carolina; and Gregory Galdwin Black and his wife, Brandy, of Evadale; grandchildren, Heather Huff and her husband, Coleman, of Central, South Carolina; Destiny McClelland of Senaca, South Carolina; Morgan Black and his wife, Katlin, of Evadale; Casey Black of Lumberton; Parker Black and his wife, Emily, of Lake Heath, England; and Katie McClelland of Kissimmee, Florida; great-grandchildren, Hadleigh Black, Everleigh Black, and Adeline Huff; and sister, Ellen Peters of Lennox, South Dakota. She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Marilynn Terry.

A gathering of Mrs. Black's family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Broussard's, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Broussard's, with her interment to follow at Antioch Cemetery, Buna.
