Susan Bye Obituary
November 2, 1963 – August 27, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Susan Shelby Bye, who left us peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at the age of 61. She passed in the early morning hours at Treasure Coast Hospice, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.
Susan courageously lived with diabetes for most of her life and faced several health challenges in recent months, succumbing to congestive heart failure. Despite these hardships, she remained uniquely herself-creative, spirited, and deeply loved.
Known for her individuality and artistic soul, Susan will be remembered for her talent in photography, her cherished antique collections, and her lifelong love of animals. She brought beauty and creativity into the world in quiet, meaningful ways that left a lasting impression on those who knew her.
She is survived by her father, Frank Bye and his wife Susan Joslin Bye; her brother, Frank Bye, and sister-in-law Julie Martin Bye; her sister, Carol Ann Bye-Vickery, and brother-in-law, John Vickery; and her nephews, Logan Vickery and Colin Vickery. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Bye (née Demuth), in May 1994.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Florida in the fall of 2025, with details to be shared with family and friends.
