Susan Gail Christensen

May 29, 1959 - October 17, 2025

Susan Gail Christensen passed away on October 17, 2025, in Ferron, Utah, after a long and courageous battle with health issues. She was born on May 29, 1959, to Eddie and Peggy Justesen.

Susan married her high school sweetheart, Gary Christensen, and together they raised two wonderful children, Mike and Kim. Though their marriage ended, her devotion to her children and the pride she felt watching them grow was one of the truest constants in her life.

Susan was a hard worker. Over the years, she worked in the coal mines, then later for many years at Walmart, where she made lifelong friends whom she cherished deeply. She was known for her quick wit, infectious laughter, and unmistakable presence. Those who knew her best will fondly remember that it was always her way or the highway. Susan was stubborn in the very best of ways. As the saying goes, dynamite comes in small packages, and Susan truly embodied that spirit.

She is survived by her devoted mother, Peggy Justesen; loving son and caretaker, Mike (Tammie) Christensen; daughter, Kim (Mark) Velasquez; brothers, Ray Justesen and Alan Justesen; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Justesen; brother, Ed Justesen; and grandparents, Ray Spiegel, Elizabeth Anderson Justesen, Ada Wilkerson Farnsworth and Milford Bard Farnsworth.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to CNS for the exceptional care and compassion they provided to Susan throughout the years, and to Emery County Care and Rehab for their kind and attentive care.

Per Susan's wishes, there will be no funeral services. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Susan online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
