Wonda Preece Roberts Christensen
1929 – 2025
In the early morning of October 17, 2025 beautiful Wonda P. Christensen peacefully passed away. She was born on October 20, 1929 to Howard and Tiney Preece in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Wonda left high school early and went to help her mother with finances after her father passed away. Her first job was an Usherette at The Centre Theater. Her second job was at Desert Industries making garments. She was always a devoted, hard worker and made the workplace a little brighter with her sparkling personality.
On July 2, 1949 she married Dale Kenneth Roberts and together they welcomed their only child Roxane Roberts Willis. Dale passed away on July 21, 1972 in a tragic automobile accident.
Wonda married Faireld 'Fritz' Christensen on October 20, 1973 in Elko, Nevada. They enjoyed 47 years of marriage before Fritz passed away June 6, 2020. Wonda moved to California in 2020 to be with her daughter Roxane for the rest of her life/
Wonda was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and siblings; Dona, Earl, Dlen, Sheldon and Lavon. Daughter Carrie Christensen. Grandchildren; Michelle, Coby, Danielle and Amy.
She is survived by her children; Roxane Willis (Kenny), Diane Christensen-Fife (Cary) and Laurie C. Bartunek (Doug). Sister-in-laws; Myrna Ronnebeck and Virginia Preece. Brother-in-law, Devon Seeley. Grandchildren; Barbara Greenwood (Geff), Adale Christian (Bob), Jason Broyles (Amy), Michelle Poulsen (Chad), Trevor Hakanson, Renner Hargrave (Melissa), Rylee Hargrave, Kourtney Miles, Chad Hendry, Christopher Hendery and great-grandchildren.
Services will take place at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary 4760 S State St. Murray. Interment follows at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
