Keyser Carr Simpson Hammerl Funeral & Cremation Service - KingstonSusan Claussell, 77, of Mount Marion, NY, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY. She was born on July 11, 1948, in the Bronx, NY, daughter of the late Michael and Julia (Zeh) Spetalieri. In addition to her parents, Susan is preceded in death by her brother Michael "Mickey" Spetalieri, a US Marine who served in the Cuban Missile Crisis on October 16,1962, and her two sisters, Judy LaPeruta and Josephine “Josie” Catone. Her remaining sibling is Steve Spetalieri, retired Detective, Kingston Police Department.
Susan was married to Mario Jay Claussell, they wed on December 25, 1975 in the Plattekill Reformed Church, Mount Marion, NY. In addition to her husband, Susan is survived by two sons, Christopher and Stephen Claussell.
She worked for over 21 years as a Sales Manager for two Acoustical Engineering Firms, Mason Industries located in Hauppauge, NY, and General Rubber, now located in Tucson, AZ. Susan was a traditional loving mother, aunt, co-worker and friend. A spiritually strong and selfless spouse that few could appreciate. “What a blessing”
Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Friday, December 26, 2025 from 2pm to 5pm with the religious service taking place at 5pm.
