Funeral services for Susan Canterbury Corley of Simsboro, LA will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Temple Baptist Church in the Fellowship Hall in Ruston, LA. Officiating the service will be Dr. Reggie Bridges. Interment will follow in Kilpatrick Memorial Gardens in Ruston under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of Ruston, LA.
A visitation for family and friends will be 5:00 -7:00 PM Monday, March 31, 2025, at Temple Baptist Church in the Fellowship Hall in Ruston, LA.
Susan passed away from this life to be with her Lord and Savior on March 25, 2025, surrounded by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Lettie Canterbury.
Left to cherish her memory, her husband of 53 years, John Corley of Simsboro, LA; son, Jason Corley of Scottsdale, AZ; granddaughters, Kaleigh and Kamryn Corley and their mother, Katherine Corley of Carrollton, TX; brother, Tommy Canterbury of Frisco, TX; sister-in-law, Carol Canterbury of Prosper, TX; sister-in-law, Karen Walker and husband, Tony of Pinehurst, NC; sister-in-law, Sharon Fontenot of Lake Charles, LA; along with numerous loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
Susan was a graduate of Simsboro High School and Louisiana Tech University where she taught in the College of Business for 30 years. She was an avid Dunkin' Dog and Diamond Dogs Louisiana Tech baseball fan and loved to attend games. She has made special connections to many Tech players and coaches.
Serving as pallbearers are nephews, Chad Canterbury, David Walker, Jr., and Ryan Fontenot, as well as Joe Mitcham, Philip Johnson, and Selwyn Ellis.
