She spent most of her life as a commercial interior designer with a side gig as a bass guitar player with the Sensible Pumps.
Her real love was her horses, whether foxhunting or trail riding in the mountains of North Carolina and Mexico, she found joy in the company of her horses.
She was preceded in death, by her parents Howard Lawrence Cree and Lillian Downey Cree, and her two sisters Dotty Lou (Freeland) Bent and Lois Ann (Bob) Walterhouse.
She leaves behind three children, Brett Gearhart, Sean (Kimberly) Gearhart, and Elizabeth Gearhart. She also leaves behind several extended family members and many good friends.
"Though her reins have been set down, her spirit rides on - free, strong, and forever at peace."
