Jo Cree Obituary

Jo Ann Cree, 87, of Jefferson, died and went to her Eternal home with the Lord on Sunday, September 21, 2025. She was born June 12, 1938, in Khedive; daughter of Ralph D. and Evelyn Ewart Cree. She was a graduate of Jefferson-Morgan High School, Northern Virginia Community College and Waynesburg College. Miss Cree came from the humblest of beginnings to live her epitome of the "American Dream." She retired from an extraordinary 30+ year career with the Federal Government, serving in different capacities in the White House under five Presidents; the Pentagon and executive offices in Federal agencies 1956-1986; HQ USAREUR, Heidelberg, Germany 1967-1970; a freelance temp in law firms in Washington, D.C.; Arlington, Virginia; Houston, Texas and Pittsburgh, PA 1976-1995 Miss Cree was a member of the Greene Valley Presbyterian Church, Carmichaels. Deceased, in addition to her parents, are two brothers, Richard and Stanley Cree; and a sister, Loretta Cree Grable. There will be no visitation or graveside services. A special thanks to Amedysis Hospice and to the staff at Waynesburg Nursing & Rehabilitation.
