Sue Cushman, 86, of Raymore, MO, passed away at home on January 7, 2025.
Sue was born in Quincy, Illinois, on November 30, 1938, to Charles and Ethel Morrison and was the last of three children.
She is preceded in death by her parents, older brother Charles Morrison, and older sister Charlotte Schutte.
A funeral will be held on January 24, 2025, at 1pm, by her family at the Lord of Love Lutheran Church, 8306 E. 171st Street, Belton, MO 64012.
She Graduated from Quincy Illinois High School in 1956, married Lamon Maddox; and had three children, Cole Maddox, Clay Maddox (deceased) and Lana Maddox. She worked in Kansas City for McGrath Prescriptions Pharmacy as a Pharmacy technician for approximately 35 years. On December 31, 1967, she married Sam Cushman; she and her children followed Sam to Newberg, NY, where Sam began his service in the United States Army working in the Hospital Pharmacy at West Point, NY. In 1973, she and Sam were blessed with the birth of their son, Monte Cushman.
Sue is survived by her sons Cole Maddox ( Deanna ) of Belton, MO, Monte Cushman ( Christa ) of Foley, AL, and daughter Lana Maddox, of Raymore, MO; sister-in-law Deborah Cushman, of Lee's Summit, MO, grandchildren Damon Maddox, of Belton, MO, David Maddox, of Pleasant Hill, MO, Jessica Wineinger, of Raytown, MO, Ciara Maddox, of Harrisonville, MO, Zachary Oldham, of Kansas City, MO, and Timothy Cushman, of Foley, AL. Sue had a special relationship with Ryan & Mary Tinkler and their daughters Leslie Chambers ( Eric ), and Allison Tinkler. Sue enjoyed numerous other friendships and familial relationships.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the fight against breast cancer, www.nationalbreastcancer.org and/or the Lord of Love Lutheran Church of Raymore, MO.
