Susan Eileen Dewing (nee Beck) of Warren Center, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully after a long convalescence on September 9, 2025. She was 74 years old.
Born on April 18, 1951 in York, Pennsylvania Susan was the daughter of the late Donald and Grace Beck. She graduated from Eastern York High School in Wrightsville, Pa, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from Bloomsburg State College.
Susan began her career working in the laboratory at Robert Packer Hospital. Later, she found success as an Avon representative – a role that allowed her to connect with others and build lasting relationships within her community. She loved reading to her family and worked for a time as a reading specialist at Northeast Bradford Elementary School.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Rodney; her sons Randy (Joy) Dewing; and Brett Dewing; her brother James (Gale) Beck. She is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Georgie Dewing, Donald (Teleka) Dewing, Barbara (Jim) Pavlik, Ann (Bob) Elliott, and Dale (Joan) Dewing and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and brother-in-law Ronald.
Susan’s life was deeply rooted in her lifelong commitment to Jesus Christ. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Sunday, September 14th from 2 -4 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 15th at 11 am at The Anglican Church of the Good Shepherd, 360 Conklin Ave., Binghamton, NY 13903. Susan will be laid to rest at a later date in the Coburn – Dewing Cemetery, Warren Center, Pa.
